Place the head where the room's airflow actually needs it, then work out the line set route afterwards, even when that means a longer run and more line set cover.

Ductless heads are sized to the room, not the house, and oversizing is the classic mistake. An oversized head satisfies the thermostat quickly, shuts down and leaves the room with poor humidity control in summer and uneven temperatures in winter.
